My pillars of strength are my strong team of dedicated teachers who have worked tirelessly to make our vision and mission of our school a reality. I would like to dedicate this years achievements to our staff.

I joined school on 1st April 2023 and I am proud to say that I have completed 1 year at KVN and the following are the events that were done at KVN during my tenure.

KVN follows the CBSE curriculum and emphasizes on quality education with stress on healthy classroom transaction coupled with Subject enrichment activities for all the lessons in all subjects for all classes to give our students experiential learning.  Regular academic activities are further enriched with Celebrations, Events, Competitions, Social outreach program etc to bring in a holistic package for our students.

Our school takes pride in centum results produced so far and sending out students to eminent medical, engineering, Law, C.A, Journalism, Paramedical sciences  and other colleges across India.

What makes schooling fun at KVN?

Let me take you through our journey this year.

SPECIAL EVENTS: KVN stands apart with its unique practices and we are keen on giving our students an environment for experiential learning through various special activities.

Celebrations:

Religious Festivals: KVN celebrates most of the Indian religious festivals without any bias or discrimination. These celebrations such as Ganesha Chathurthi, Ramzan,  Onam, Krishna Jayanthi, Saraswathi Puja, Vijaydasami, Diwali, Christmas, Pongal etc, foster a strong sense of unity in diversity among our students, and also develop a sense of understanding and respect towards other religions. The celebration culminated in Community lunch just before the terminal holidays where staff and students shared their goodies with each other.

National Festivals: Independence Day and Republic Day were marked with Flag hoisting, Parade, March Past, drill display and various activities for students such as speech competition, Rangoli, poster making, drawing and colouring, debate etc instilling the patriotic fervor in our students

The students expressed their love for their teachers through Teacher’s Day celebration and the teachers reciprocated the same on Children’s Day with a heartwarming skit performed by teachers, emphasizing the importance of taking pride in wearing the school uniform and dance performance. As a special treat, teachers prepared donuts exclusively for the students in mass production. Various competitions for the students were conducted to bring out their latent talents and house points were awarded.

 

Additionally we had  International Yoga Day Celebration

World Environment Day , Constitution Day  organized by  Heritage Club, International Tiger Day by eco club . KVN celebrated these special days with a series of educational activities and awareness campaigns aimed at creating a learning environment for our students.

Halloween Party (28/10/2023): KVN organized a Halloween Party which is a very unique and new concept in town, where students and staff dressed up in spooky costumes, played games, and organized interesting activities.

Women’s Day was marked with Mega Treasure hunt organized by our school for the women of Cuddalore in the tag TRACE YOUR ROOTS THROUGH CUDDALORE ROUTES.

SPORTS & PHYSICAL FITNESS PROGRAM:

SPORTS DAY: KVN held its13th Annual Sports Meet on 18th August 2023 in the school playground that wore a festive look. The chief guest Mr.N.Devanadhan, Additional Superintendent of Police Vigilance and anti-corruption declared the sports meet open and honoured the athletes with certificates and medals. . Various drill display and athletic heats and relays kept the audience roaring. The Sports Day ended on a high note, with Mayan house bagging the trophy for overall championship.

We take pride in our National Chess Champions Chirtesh, District Skating Champion Tarun , National Yoga Champion Akshaya and State Karate Champion Tariq.

Our Volleyball team- senior category participated in the CBSE tournaments across the state and emerged as runners.

Our school has established the KVN athletic academy in association with Dass Academy and our athletes train rigorously in track and field events, during the early hours and late evening daily.

Martial Arts training classes take place during the week after school hours where they learn self-defense techniques, discipline, and physical fitness.

KVN organized a Marathon at Maruthadu road on International Youth Day where 150 students from the senior category ran the race.

GameOn '23 Interschool Sports Meet (19/8/2023): KVN proudly hosted the GameOn '23 Interschool Sports Meet, a thrilling event that brought together 11 schools and 350 contestants from across the region. Mr.Jawahar, Pro Kabadi National Champion encouraged the winners with medals and trophies. Kamatchi Shanmugam school bagged the overall championship trophy.

 

RISH RHAPSODY- INTERSCHOOL CULTURAL FEST & Talent Hunt Show (10-11-2023): Students from various schools showcased their talents and creativity in a Talent Hunt Show, featuring a variety of performances such as singing, dancing, poetry recitation, fireless cooking, poster making, face painting and instrumental music. The event celebrated the diverse talents of students and provided them with a platform to express themselves and shine.

GRANDPARENTS DAY: The Kindergarteners were given a platform to display their skills for their grandparents on 13th January 2024. A day to honor the pillars of our families . Grandparents were dressed in retro style like the early 70s heroes and heroines. Talent display, Games and ramp walk entitled the winner as Mr.Grandpa and Mrs.Grandma. They were crowned by our Executive Director Dr.Shireesha.

 

VIDHYARAMBAM-Founder Chairman Initiated the Newly Enrolled Toddlers of Kindergarten (24/10/2023): The Founder Chairman initiated the newly enrolled toddlers of Kindergarten into the KVN family, welcoming them with warmth and affection. The ceremony marked the beginning of their educational journey and symbolized the school's commitment to nurturing young learners.

Eureka Science Expo (15/10/2023): KVN hosted the Eureka Science Expo, where students presented their science projects, experiments, and research findings. The expo showcased the creativity and scientific inquiry through 450 projects, inspiring curiosity and fostering a passion for science among the school community.

EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIPS, EXCURSIONS AND ADVENTURE CAMPS

Summer Camp summer camp commenced from 02 to 15 /5/2023 offering a plethora of enriching activities. 85 students enjoyed 10 days of active training, a visit to Auroville and ended the camp with over night stay and camp fire in the School campus.

Senior Trip to MGM (26/4/2023): Senior students embarked on an exciting trip to MGM, where they enjoyed thrilling rides, entertainment, and bonding opportunities. It provided a well-deserved break from academic routines and created lasting memories for the graduating class.

Educational field Trip to  Heritage village,  Marine Biology college in Chidambaram, Domino's Pizza  in Puducherry, Britania Biscuit company, Post office, Railway station, Vegetable market,  Heritage Village etc were organized to various levels.

SENIOR TRAIILBLAZERS ADVENTURE CAMP to Kodaikanal

120 Students from Grade 8 to 12 embarked on an enriching trip to Kodaikanal for 3 days, exploring the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the region. The trip included educational tours, outdoor adventures, and team-building activities, offering students memorable experiences and valuable learning opportunities on survival skills.

 

JUNIOR TRAIILBLAZERS camping at the BEACH

February 02-03, 2024: The juniors of grade4,5,6 and 7 set out on an exhilarating camp at Mahabalipuram, immersing themselves in nature's beauty and engaging in thrilling activities. They then enjoyed a serene stay at Scripture Union for two days, followed by an educational visit to the Crocodile Bank,

Pyjama Night was organized for our students from grade 1,2 and 3

in school on 20th January 2024 Students donning their comfiest pajamas enjoyed various activities, shadow play, dancing around the campfire and good food with friends and teachers.

Baby’s night out was organized for our kindergarteners to have a uniques experience at school with their friends and teachers along with their stuffed furry friends.

All these above age appropriate experiences were tailor made for our students to give them a stronger bonding with their friends and teachers in an informal set up, which I bet is a very new concept in cuddalore.

ART INTEGRATED LEARNING:

Kalai Saral (16/4/2023): The students of middles school had created collage of exotic birds and sculpture of wild animals using POP with the help of their art Teacher Mr.Velkumaran. Their master pieces were kept on display in silver beach to inspire the general public. Our Chairman Dr.K.Rajendran inaugurated the Kalisaral Exhibition and addressed the gathering, setting the tone for the year. This laid the foundation stone for Art integrated learning for our students.

Wealth Out of Waste (26/4/2023): In the Wealth Out of Waste initiative, students showcased their creativity by repurposing recyclable materials into useful and artistic creations.

I love KVN selfie point was set up by our own teachers and students to add beauty to our school ambience.

As part of performing Art, The stage came alive with the vibrant colors and graceful movements of "Nritya Samarpanam"! on December 02, 2023.  Our mesmerizing heritage dance program paid homage to our rich cultural traditions.

LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

 

Student council Election (19/6/2023): The democratic process was in full swing as students exercised their right to vote in the School Pupil Leader Election. Candidates campaigned passionately, and the newly elected Head Boy-  Sharath Srinivas and Head Girl-Priyadarshini pledged to serve with integrity and dedication during the INVESTITURE CEREMONY presided by our Chairman.

 

The students who proved excellence in social science were rewarded with a visit to the District collectorate and interview the district collector Dr.Arun Thamburaj IAS for an hour to draw inspiration from his achievements.

 

ACADEMIC GUIDANCE BEYOND BOOKS

 

•        Career Aptitude Test- Grade 11 (21/4/2023): Grade 11 students took up the test to identify their areas of interest and strength to help them choose their core subjects at the senior secondary level in tandem with their grade 10 Board results.

Career Counselling Workshop by Aditi Institute of Hotel management, Puducherry

 

Research on Dangers of Dengue was conducted by the students of grade 8 and 9 and their paper presentation was done in Chennai with the guidance of doctors from IMA

 

Visit to Mahatma Gandhi College - Grade 12 students visited Mahatma Gandhi College on 29/4/2023as part of their college preparation and career exploration.

 

•        National Panchayati Raj Day (25/4/2023): National Panchayati Raj Day was observed with a series of activities highlighting the importance of local self-governance and community participation.

 

Math Week (31/8/2023): KVN dedicated a week to celebrate the fascinating world of mathematics through Math Week. Students engaged in a variety of math-related activities, puzzles, and challenges designed to stimulate their curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

 

Young Entrepreneurs of KVN were encouraged to set up their food and games stall during the mega carnival held on 26th January and learn to make profit from small investments.

 

STUDENTS WELLNESS PROGRAM

 

Annual Health Screening (07-08/7/2023): Prioritizing the well-being of our students, KVN conducted its annual health screening program. Medical professionals from Mahatma Gandhi Medical College conducted comprehensive health assessments, including check-ups, vaccinations, and dental examinations, ensuring that students are healthy and ready to excel academically.

 

•        Brain Gym Activity (26/4/2023): are given to Students periodically to exercise their minds and sharpen their cognitive abilities through a series of fun and interactive brain games and puzzles.`

 

Health Awareness Program - Literary Club (31/8/2023): The Literary Club organized a Health Awareness Program focusing on various aspects of physical and mental well-being. Through informative talks, workshops, and interactive sessions,

 

DPT Vaccination - Grade 1, 5 & 10 (09-01-2023): KVN organized a DPT vaccination drive for students in Grade 1, 5, and 10, aimed at protecting them against diphtheria, pertussis, and

 

Paediatric Health Awareness Camp (09-03-2023): KVN hosted a Paediatric Health Awareness Camp, providing valuable information and resources to parents and caregivers. The camp focused on child health and wellness, covering topics such as nutrition, hygiene, developmental milestones, and common childhood illnesses.

 

In the digital age, knowledge is our shield. We raised awareness about cyber security through an enlightening program, equipping our students with the tools and know-how to navigate the online world safely and responsibly on December 20, 2023

 

Smart Parents, Smart Teens & Smartphones - Responsible Use of Smartphones (22/9/2023): KVN organized an insightful session on the responsible use of smartphones for parents and teenagers. The session addressed the benefits and risks of smartphone usage, cybersecurity, digital etiquette, and strategies for fostering healthy technology habits within families.

 

February 02-09, 2024: In a heartwarming Padha Pooja ceremony, our board-going students paid homage to their parents, seeking blessings for their upcoming endeavors. The Chairman graced the occasion, bestowing blessings upon the students and presenting them with their hall tickets for the board exams,.

 

SOCIAL OUTREACH

•        Rally on Drug Awareness (26/6/2023): KVN organized a rally to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and addiction. Students marched through the streets, carrying banners and posters with anti-drug messages,

 

Interview of Farmer - Grade 8 (10-05-2023): Grade 8 students had the opportunity to gain insights into agriculture and rural life through an interview with a local farmer. The interview provided students with firsthand knowledge about farming practices, challenges faced by farmers, and the importance of agriculture in sustaining communities.

 

Vigilance Awareness Week (11-04-2023): KVN observed Vigilance Awareness Week, promoting integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct among students and staff. The week-long event included workshops, seminars, and awareness campaigns highlighting the importance of vigilance in preventing corruption and fostering good governance.

 

January 23, 2024: Safety first! As part of National Road Safety Week, we embarked on a journey to raise awareness about safe driving habits and pedestrian safety, ensuring that our roads are safe for all.

 

 

Charity Drive-Grocery Items Contribution from Students (11-10-2023): Students at KVN participated in a noble initiative by contributing grocery items for those in need.

 

A group of students and staff fromKVN visited EID Parrys and conducted various competitions such as Quiz, Sports and games, Painting, singing and speech competitions for the students residing there as part of outreach program.

Mime show was conducted by our students creating awareness on the dangers of dengue and a  tamil play was staged on the importance of education in the Nellikuppam Panchayat union school.

 

Social responsibility on Voting rights-On March 25, 2024, KVN took a stand for democracy at Silver Beach with an electrifying display of talent and advocacy:

 

In a vibrant fusion of art and activism, we promoted the importance of voting rights through captivating mime performances, dynamic dance routines, and an exhilarating flash mob.

 

With the esteemed presence of District Collector Dr. Arun Thamburaj, our message resonated even stronger.

The general public was enthralled as they witnessed our students’ passion and commitment to democracy.

Together, we ignited a spark of civic duty and inspired all to embrace their role in shaping our collective future.

 

COMPETITIONS:

 

CHORAL RECITATION FOR ALL CLASSES was conducted in August where students recited the poem in unison

 

Fireless Cooking Inter-House Competition (23/7/2023): Fostering culinary creativity and teamwork, students participated in a fireless cooking competition between different houses.

 

Tamil Debate inter-house competition was held in the presence of Dr. John Peter, Professor of St.Joseph college of Art and science on the topic “Social Media- A boon or Bane to the society and the final round on the topic- The culture and tradition of our nation is held high by the older generation or the younger generation!

The tamil department also held a food festival displaying the traditional food of the Tamilians and highlighting their health benefits and nutritional values.

 

 Quiz by French Department (26/10/2023): French students organized a quiz competition to test the language proficiency and cultural knowledge of participants on 26th October.

 

Pongal celebration was marked with various competitions such as

PONGAL MAKING, RANGOLI, TUG OF WAR, BREAKING THE POT, POSTER MAKING

DEBATE, QUIZ, SPELL BEE, INTERHOUSE DANCE, SINGING COMPETITIONS were held in the month of January

 

Inter School Contest at Town Hall (13/10/2023): KVN students participated in an Inter School  Contests held at the Town Hall. Students of KVN bagged the first prize in Quiz, solving the puzzle and wonder from waste organized by the postal department.

 

Our students also bagged prizes in HERITAGE QUIZ, and BUZZ 10, An interschool  literary challenge at Virudhunagar where 45 schools competed and we emerged winners.

 

Student from KVN Represented Our School for Interschool South Zone Quizzing at NLC (11-07-2023): our talented student from KVN represented the school in an Interschool South Zone Quizzing competition held at NLC and bagged the first prize.

 

 

KVN Garden Activity (09-08-2023): Students engaged in a hands-on garden activity, nurturing plants and learning about sustainable gardening practices. This initiative promoted environmental awareness and instilled a sense of responsibility towards caring for nature among students.

We enjoyed bountiful harvest from the KVN garden, where they harvested fresh fruits, vegetables, and herbs cultivated on campus. The harvest highlighted the importance of sustainable gardening practices and provided students with nutritious produce for consumption.

 

 

Faculty Development Program KVN organized Faculty Development Program to enhance the professional skills and knowledge of teachers periodically throughout the year to cover 50 hours of internal and CBSE training. The program included workshops, seminars, and training sessions focused on innovative teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies, empowering teachers to excel in their roles as educators.

 

 

 

 

New Ventures:

  • Coding and robotic classes were introduced in the school curriculum to keep our students of classes 3 to 8 to prepare our students for the futuristic society.
  • Communicative English among students of grade 1 to 8 was strengthened in collaboration with Beehive communication club
  • The KVN Athletic academy was inaugurated on 24th October 2023,_ in association with Dass Sports Academy. Intensive training is given to our athletes twice every day for two hours in the morning and evening outside school hours in the vast expanse of our school play ground.
  • No Bag day on all Saturdays except third Saturday engaged our students with Music, dance, Martial art and literary activities.
  • School Compound wall:
  • To ensure safety and security in our campus we have raised a strong compound wall, that covers the entire perimeter of our school.
  • Art work on the wall depicting the various extra curricular activities done in school. At this juncture I take pride in stating that it was done by our art teachers and the students of middle school and senior school.
  • A beautiful MIYAWAKI FOREST comprising of 300 saplings of indigenous plants, has been set up in our school campus to set up our own eco system in school.
  • Inauguration of Cafeteria (06/06/2023): The grand inauguration of the school cafeteria was a momentous occasion, providing students with a simple dining space offering nutritious meals.
  • Launch of Plastic Road Project- Taking a significant step towards sustainable infrastructure, KVN took up its Plastic Road Project. This innovative initiative involved using recycled plastic waste in road construction, addressing environmental concerns. Our students and staff gathered large quantities of single use plastic contributing to this unique project which I’m sure no other institution has taken up so far.
  • Our chairman inaugurated the plastic road on February 02-09, 2024: a groundbreaking initiative to combat plastic waste while enhancing infrastructure. This eco-friendly road symbolizes our commitment to sustainability and progress.
  • New addition to our fleet of busses- To cater to the transport requirements of our students commuting from a radius of more than 30 kms, our management added new buses with cctv and GPS.
  • Release of Annual school Magazine – MILESTONES freezing our accomplishments and joyous moments at KVN which will be a souvenir for every child.

 

ACHIEVEMENTS OUTSIDE SCHOOL:

 

Our students have actively participated in many competitions at district state and national level and won many laurels in the past year in the field of academics, sports and cultural events. ACHIEVEMENT IN THE FIELD OF SPORTS:

Sports, games, inter-house tournaments and Marathon were conducted by the sports department and active participation was seen from students of all levels.

Our Athletes have spread their wings to zonal and national level tournaments like Chess, volleyball, Athletics, Karate, Yoga and walked away with pride holding trophies and medals along with them.

 

Here is a quick glance of the achievers. If I have to read out the names of the winners and the achievements it’s going to take a long time. So I’ll allow you to savour in our success by watching the slides roll by.

Academic Proficiency Award:

This is a special award conferred to the school toppers of the outgoing batch. It comprises of a certificate and trophy and cash award for the highest score obtained in the senior secondary board exam. And the awards were bagged by the following students in the past.

 Batch 2019-20 Suvarna.K scored 475/500. She is Pursuing B.sc Agri in coimbatore.

From 2020-21 batch we have Mithra Vinda.R and Dhinesh.T who scored 480/500 in the boards. Mithra is now pursuing Law in Chennai and Dhinesh is pursuing medicine in Annamali Medical College in Chidambaram

From the 2021-22, we have Mahit.P who scored   476 /500 in the senior  secondary Board Examination. He is currently pursuing Medicine in Stanley medical college, Chennai,

From the 2022-23 we have Saadhanasri who score 472 in the grade XII Board exam was awarded Rs.5000 by our chairman. She is pursuing CA in Chennai

The school topper in the X Board exam Thaslima Farveen who scored 476 was encouraged with a cash award of  Rs.5000

 and The second and third toppers of the both grade 10 and 12 were awarded Rs 3000 and 2000 respectively every year.

Our outgoing batches are given farewell party after the completion of their Board exams and honoured during the graduation ceremony with suitable titles.

Special Awards:

Moving on to the most awaited part of the day…. I take delight in announcing a few special awards for the year 2023- 24

It is now time to honour our current batch of students as they step out of our school. I request our chief guest  Shri. Nagaswamy Suresh Dinesh to honour the winners with trophies.

Academic Proficiency award: The students who did consistently well in the academics through out the year in grade 12 in all the exams are now called on to the stage.

General Proficiency award The student selected for this award is decided by points given for academic performance, extracurricular activities, creativity, for the skill sets, who’s a voracious reader with wide range of knowledge and for being an all-rounder. This award goes to Sanjanaa.K.

Vibrant student award: of This award goes to students who did well academically and at the same time kept the classroom environment alive winning the hearts of their fellow classmates and their teachers. These students are very proactive and take up the task entrusted with enthusiasm.

Veteran student award: This student is there in our school right from kindergarten. The first student of this batch. To encourage loyalty to our school I now call upon Vijayalkshmi to come on stage and receive the award.

Sports Achievers:

We have a champion in Yoga who has elevated our school to the National level. May I invite Akshaya to receive the award from our chief guest.

This student has brought laurels to our school by winning State championship in Skating. I now call upon Tarun to come on stage and receive the award.

Full Attendance: There are times when we are not able to make it  to school. It could be the heavy rains, or a bad cold or a high fever or some reason at home that might keep us away from school. But there is one student from grade 12, who came to school every single day…no matter what…braving the weather. We would like to acknowledge this student and her commitment to studies. May I now call upon Jayayogapriya to come on stage and receive the award.

Now the most important award awaits….

Best Outgoing student from the graduating batch. The student selected for this award is decided by points given for academic performance, extracurricular activities, creativity, discipline and Good behavior. The 12th std teachers voted and selected the best outgoing student.

The Best outgoing student for the year 2023-24 goes to Ananthraman. We are proud of you Ananth. May you continue to make a positive impact wherever you go.

I would like to honour our young and emerging champions of kvn who have represented the school in Chess. They have won more than 40 trophies and we are not able to present all of them on stage.

May I now call upon Chitresh of Grade 6 who is a National chess player and State Champion.

His sister Dhikshitha of grade 1 is equally brilliant chess player and has won trophies at district and state levels. Our PTA President Dr. Padmanaban  is the proud parent of these achievers.

We have lot more students who won first prizes in various state level competitions, but for want of time we are honouring them on screen. Congratulations to all the participants and winners

Service Recognition Award:

This award is a very coveted award among the teachers. Our teachers are the strength of our school and all the teachers have worked very hard round the year to give their best for the Board going students.  We would like to recognize the performance, creativity, mentorship and dedication of these teacher.
